This week the filming of The good boss, the new movie Fernando León de Aranoa, starring Javier Bardem and produced by Rested PC y The Mediapro Studio which represents the reunion 18 years after the team that made it possible Mondays in the sun, a film awarded the Golden Shell at the 2002 San Sebastián Festival and with 5 Goya Awards, including Best Film, Best Director and Best Actor for Bardem.

The good pattern is the counterplane of Mondays in the sun. If that film dealt with unemployment, this one describes the precarious landscape of employment with similar aesthetic and narrative keys. A choral story woven of stories that intertwine and interact perversely, crossed by the seductive personality of Blanco, the owner of a family business played by Javier Bardem, who stars in a tragicomic story, a comedy with a fierce and funny look at the personal and work relationships within this company that employs fifty workers.

Bardem is accompanied by an extensive cast that includes names such as Manolo Solo, Almudena Amor, Óscar de la Fuente, Sonia Almarcha, Fernando Albizu, Tarik Rmili, Rafa Castejón, Celso Bugallo, Martín Páez and Yael Belicha.

The filming of the film will end in December, and will take place entirely in the Autonomous Community of Madrid.

The good boss It is the tenth film as director of Fernando León de Aranoa, the fifth that he produces jointly with his company Reposado PC and The Mediapro Studio after Princesas (2005) (3 Goya awards, including Best Actress Candela Peña), Amador (2010), the documentary Politics, Manual of Instructions (2016) and A perfect day (2015), starring Benicio Del Toro and Tim Robbins, winner of a Goya Award for Best Screenplay for León from Aranoa. It is also his third collaboration with Javier Bardem after the aforementioned Mondays in the Sun and Loving Pablo (Official Section Venice 2017).

The premiere is scheduled for autumn 2021 and Mk2 Films is responsible for the film's international sales.
