AJA reinforces its 12G-SDI solutions with the new OG-12GM card and the OG-FiDO-TR-12G transceiver

OG-12GM enables 12G-SDI to/from quad-link 3G-SDI Muxing/deMuxing while the new OG-FiDO-TR-12G provides 12G-SDI to/from fiber conversion with single-link LC connectivity.

AJA OG-12GM and OG-FIDO-TR-12G

AJA Video Systems launches two new solutions 12G-SDI OpenGear: AJA OG-12GM y AJA AND-FiDO-TR-12G. With support for up to 4K/UltraHD content, OG-12GM is a 12G-SDI to/from quad-link 3G-SDI Muxer/DeMuxer, and OG-FiDO-TR-12G is a next-generation 12G-SDI fiber transceiver. Both are designed for use in openGear 2RU high-density frames and are compatible with Ross DashBoard software for flexible device control and monitoring.

Nick Rashby, CEO of AJA, highlights that "as demand for 4K/UltraHD raster content increases, 12G-SDI solutions are critical to simplify cabling and transport high-bandwidth content. In response to industry demand, we are strengthening our line of 12G-SDI workflow tools with the new OG-12GM card and OG-FiDO-TR-12G transceiver, which feature compatibility in the entire industry in the OpenGear frameworks.”

OG-12GM is an OpenGear-compatible SDI transport converter that supports 12G-SDI single-link to/from 3G-SDI quad-link, two-sample interleaved (2SI) pixel mapping to/from square division (quadrant), and selectable distribution amplifier (1×4). Provides detailed timing analysis to validate the alignment of quad-link SDI inputs through a unique timing analyzer that quickly helps identify potential timing problems with quad-link signals. Ideal for critical broadcast applications where high quality and reliable conversion is required, the OG-12GM features OpenGear's high-density architecture and DashBoard support on Windows, MacOS or Linux for monitoring and control over a local network or remotely.

OG-FiDO-TR-12G offers unmatched flexibility and cost-effectiveness for 12G-SDI to fiber conversion and fiber to 12G-SDI conversion with single-link LC connectivity, enabling long cable runs of up to 10 kilometers for single mode. OG-FiDO-TR-12G is compatible with all OpenGear certified products and supports Ross DashBoard software for convenient remote control and monitoring via a PC or local network to further simplify production workflows.
