DM7 Yamaha - Dante PY64-D

The new PY64-D card expands the connection Dante (Audinate) of the DM7 series mixing consoles Yamaha with multiple functions that allow it to become part of new types of productions.

The PY64-D Dante provides to the DM7 64 inputs/outputs at 96 kHz with SRC, with primary and secondary connectors to support redundancy. Likewise, the solution offers Sample Rate Converter (SRC) functions, resulting in simple connections for complex systems, including devices that use different sample rates.

A key to this new system is that, when connecting the connectors Dante built-in connections of the DM7 and those of the PY64-D card to different networks Dante, the DM7 console can be used as puente. The system integrates modes Sync ON y OFF, an additional option adjustable from the console itself.

Yamaha warns that, to integrate this new card, it is necessary for the mixer to be updated to the version 1.60 firmware, which will be available with the card in December 2024.

“We are delighted that the PY64-D allows the DM7 series to be used in a wider range of applications,” he concludes. Thomas Hemery, senior general manager of Yamaha's professional solutions division.
