Yamaha organizes advanced YCATS courses on digital tables
These courses, aimed at sound professionals who already have extensive knowledge of digital sound, will focus on the popular CL and QL series consoles.
Yamaha Commercial Audio will carry out a series of advanced YCATS courses on its digital tables during the month of February and March.
Under the acronym YCATS (Yamaha Commercial Audio Training Seminar) lies an ambitious project in which Yamaha makes available to professionals who already have extensive knowledge of digital sound, the possibility of attending an advanced course on the popular CL and QL Series digital consoles.
Unlike other courses, the assistant will have the opportunity to practice the explanations that the teacher gives step by step with a very small number of students per table. With this effective and enjoyable method, identical to what Yamaha teaches around the world, the attendee will receive a diploma on the skills learned.
Each course will last one day from ten in the morning to 6 in the afternoon and registration is completely free.
Among other topics, issues related to the initial configuration of the CL and QL consoles, the use of two tables for FOH and monitors, how to work with gain compensation, multitrack recording for live performances with Nuendo Live, and advanced memory management will be addressed. In addition, some initiation guidelines for using a Dante Network will be given.
