Western Digital renews its range of high-capacity portable SSDs

Launches four portable SSDs with capacities up to 4TB to give users faster, more durable digital storage options.

Western Digital presents new portable SSD drives with capacities up to 4TB. Users and professionals increasingly need more space to create and that is why the four devices have been designed for the growing demands for high-quality content and developed to offer gamers, content creators, hobbyists and creatives the performance, durability and capacity they need to capture, move and save their files.

The new units

SanDisk Extreme Pro Portable SSD
Save time storing and transferring data with powerful NVMe solid-state performance. It offers read speeds of up to 2000MB/s and write speeds of up to 2000MB/s. It features a forged aluminum chassis that acts as a heatsink to deliver higher sustained speeds in a portable form factor.

SanDisk Extreme Portable SSD
It delivers NVMe solid-state performance with read speeds up to 1050MB/s and write speeds up to 1000MB/s in a high-capacity portable drive perfect for creating content or capturing quality images. For added durability, the unit features up to two-meter drop protection and IP551 water and dust resistance.

WD_Black P50 Game Drive SSD
Designed for gamers, this drive is developed to achieve superior performance with read speeds of up to 2000MB/s and to reduce game download times. Premium storage expansion allows you to save new games and is compatible with PC, PlayStation 4 or the Xbox One game library.

WD My Passport SSD
With an elegant metal design, the unit is resistant to shocks, vibrations and drops of up to 1.98m. This range includes different colors in grey, blue, red, gold and silver. Its NVMe technology enables read speeds of up to 1050MB/s and write speeds of up to 1000MB/s so content creators, curators and hobbyists can stay productive.
