The executive director at Omdia, a specialist in the audiovisual market, will offer in detail a report that the British multinational has prepared on the take-off of 5G.

Maria RuaThe analyst María Rúa Aguete, CEO of the British multinational Omdia and specialist in the audiovisual market, will share the report on the global evolution of 5G in the fourth edition of the 5G Forum of Spain, which will take place in virtual format from May 4 to 6.

"The video offer is one of the clearest use cases for 5G in the short term. And watch out for Virtual Reality, which after many years of trying can now become a winning horse, thanks to the packaging of video services and the very economical possibilities that 5G offers to new formats," says Rúa.

Furthermore, in her presentation at the 5G Forum 2021, María Rúa will offer in detail a report from the British multinational Omdia in which she projects that 5G will be used by more than 1,000 million users all over the world in 2023.

Rúa leads the strategic development of Omdia's media team and manages its daily operations, following the continuous evolution of global service providers and operators, with more than 400 analysts in 200 markets on five continents.

The team's research into service providers is deep and extensive, leveraging long-standing relationships with operators in the more than 70 markets covered by the group, resulting in the most comprehensive source of television and operator market intelligence in the world.

In this fourth edition, the second virtual one after the first two held at the National Digital Content Pole in Malaga, it has extended its agenda one more day (to three days) to offer space and visibility to the more than 50 5G projects that are already being implemented in Spain.

The first day of the 5G Forum 2021, on Tuesday, May 4, will be dedicated to the big projects, national and international 5G, with the help of European and national authorities, and the world's leading multinationals, also introducing a global view of 6G technology.

The second day, Wednesday, May 5, will focus on the progress of the 5G and audiovisual; y la tercera, el jueves 6 de mayo, a los pilotos que están desarrollándose en España por parte de empresas y universidades.
