Executives from Ateme, Dolby and the Fraunhofer Institute will participate in the 4K HDR Summit to analyze the latest advances in immersive audio Next Gen Audio (NGA).

He Next Generation Audio (Next Gen Audio, NGA) will have a relevant place on the agenda of the sixth edition of the 4K-HDR Summit, which in virtual format will take place on November 17, 18 and 19 with the participation of the main companies and experts that promote Ultra High Definition (UHD) worldwide.

With the practical case of the last Roland Garros and Rafa Nadal's 13th victory, the French multinational Ateme will show its latest advances in immersive audio.

The director of Research and Innovation of Atem, Mickaël Raulet, has turned the French Tennis Open since 2012 into its experimentation laboratory so that audio and video reach every corner of the planet with the quality appropriate to the needs of each television.

The German technology society will also participate in 4KSummit 2020 this year Fraunhofer, which comprises 72 institutes located throughout Germany.

The director of Technology and Standards at Fraunhofer, the Romanian engineer Adrian Murtaza, will show immersive and personalized sound applications that have been launched in half the world.

Fraunhofer is best known internationally for being the inventors of MP3, which has become the de facto music standard on the Internet.

"We have worked very hard with our partners around the world to make the audio production chain, from start to finish, increasingly simpler and more immersive. At the 4K-HDR Summit we will showcase our advances at live events where we have used MPEG-H audio with great success," says Murtaza.

Both Ateme, Dolby and Fraunhofer are among the multinational promoters of the UHD Spain Association, which aims to promote Ultra High Definition (UHD) in Spain and which on the third day of the 4KHDR Summit will have a special session to invite all Spanish professionals to participate in it.
