RTVE begins the revolution of its A La Carta service with the RTVE Play app

The new video on demand and live streaming platform RTVE, RTVE Play, takes its first steps with a mobile application that is now available for Android and iOS.

RTVE Play It will be the new platform that replaces the current one A la carte. The first step of this transformation is the test launch of its mobile and tablet application. Versions for web and connected televisions, thus anticipating the official launch scheduled for next autumn.

Through RTVE Play, users will be able to access programs, series, movies, documentaries, news, sports and one RTVE archive selection. The application catalog will gradually grow with original content, and international series and documentaries. Likewise, the application offers live TV channels and access to exclusive signs with the latest news, sporting events, concerts, interviews and more.

RTVE has already confirmed that through this application you can see the Tour of France and the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, an event for which users will be able to access up to five simultaneous live signals.

RTVE Play presents new features widely demanded by its users. Among other features, users will be able to use “keep watching” to watch videos or series at the point where they stopped watching content, descargar programs to view them whenever you prefer, create a list of favorites or benefit from a new search engine “faster and more efficient.”

The application comes accompanied by a nuevo player, which allows features such as watching live shows from the beginning or choosing the language and subtitles according to user preferences; personalized recommendations, based on the user's consumption and demographic profile; alerts, to receive updated information on premieres, new episodes or special live shows; a new tv guide, in which you can consult the TVE programming of the last 7 days, allowing you to re-watch the latest programs broadcast; and compatibility with devices such as Chromecast, AppleTV or similar to watch the content of the applications on television.
