FLASHPoint 24S HUB: the new Facilis UHD server capable of processing up to 100 4K streams

Easy HUB FLASHPoint is a shared storage server that integrates 24 SSD drives of high performance per chassis, adding a total of 24TB, 48 TB o 96 TB. Likewise, you can have 25Gb, 40Gb or 100GB dual-port Ethernet, and 16Gb or 32Gb Fiber Channel. HUB FLASHPoint allows you to add up to 10 direct clients with optional direct-attach client cards of 10Gb, 25Gb, 16Gb or 32Gb link speeds, or use a network switch to scale workgroups with automatic load balancing. Likewise, it benefits from the function Bandwidth Priority from Facilis, which optimizes the performance of these machines.

According to Facilis, HUB FLASHPoint It is a tool that has been designed with “speed and scalability in mind.” However, as the company highlights, it has the lowest premium per GB of “any premium turnkey system” on the market.

Prepared for new needs

The Facilis HUB FLASHPoint integrates next-generation speeds for your processor and memory. This optimizes processes such as generation and transcription of Facilis FastTracker proxies, or the transfer of data to LTO and to the cloud through Facilis Object Cloud/Object LTO.

Jim McKenna, marketing director at Facilis Technology, believes that Facilis HUB FLASHPoint will mark a before and after for the company: "We have been marketing SSD-based systems for some time, but this is the first system we have built exclusively to accommodate the dense, high-performance flash drives available today. With 8K already in many production channels, higher performance on-premises solutions are needed. Our total solution approach incorporates asset management, archiving and remote editing in a single turnkey system."
