South African SYR renews its studio with an AEQ Forum console

South African station Sajonisi Youth Radio (SYR), which broadcasts from the coastal city of Port St John, has equipped the heart of its system with the digital audio console AEQ Forum.

AEQ Forum is a mixing console designed for on-air emissions control. It incorporates all the basic features necessary in this type of environment: automatic monitor cut-off, cough cut-off, fader start, signaling control, control signals for the automation of external equipment, management of external communications, intercommunication...

With a modular design and small size, it adapts perfectly to different scenarios such as self-control, booth control, television production, sound production or mixed configurations.

Its control surface can range from 4 to 8 and 12 independent channels with the standard chassis and up to 20 channels with the Grand Forum chassis. The design of the work environment is very attractive and innovative.

In the case of SYR, the jobs are at different levels. The host of the program sits at a light-colored table, about 70 cm high, with an ergonomic chair. Guests are on a higher level, around a brightly colored high table, where they can work standing up, and can rest on comfortable stools of the type common at bar counters.

This guarantees the comfort of the person who spends many hours in the studio, while guests who stay for short periods of time are free to move around, sit on stools or even dance.
