Panalux Power i2 e i4

Panalux, the lighting solutions division of Panavision, has developed the Panalux Power i-Series range of portable lithium-ion batteries, which provide green electrical power for a variety of applications.

In addition, the company has expanded the popular range Panalux Sonara of variable white soft light LED devices with the new Panalux Sonara 3:2.

At launch, the Panalux Power i series comprises the i2 and i4 240V portable power units, which provide instant, silent and emission-free energy practically anywhere. The units' compact form factor makes them unobtrusive in studio or location environments, and the all-terrain wheels and IP55 protection rating make them equally suitable for the most remote outdoor locations.

The i2, with a capacity of 5kWh and a maximum load of 2kW, is ideal for powering work lights, monitors, laptops, tablets and phones, while the i4, with a capacity of 10kWh and a maximum load of 4kW, can drive more power-demanding devices such as tea urns, media servers and cinema lights. Each i Series unit can be used as a stand-alone power supply or, when connected to a wall outlet, as an uninterruptible power supply (UPS), providing protection against interruptions to the main power supply.

The i2 and i4 each feature a 32A input for charging or use as a UPS, along with 16A, 13A and USB outputs to allow connection of a variety of devices without the need for adapters or stage boxes. All inputs and outputs are protected by RCD. Both units also feature an LCD display that indicates power consumption and battery level.

Dave Amphlett, technical director of Panalux, points out that "the advanced lithium-ion battery packs of the Panalux Power i2 and Panalux Power i4 allow the teams to mitigate the operating hours of the diesel generator. In turn, this significantly reduces the emission of nitrogen oxides and particles and helps eliminate noise pollution."

The Panalux Power i series joins the hybrid generator Panalux Power h40 in the company's growing line of its own, innovative and ecological energy solutions. Panalux Power's all-electric i Series and hybrid h Series offer a wide range of environmental benefits without compromising production or reliability.

Panalux Sonara 3:2

On the other hand, the new Panalux Sonara 3:2 incorporates the same innovative LED light engine found in the innovative Panalux Sonara 4:4, now in a smaller and lighter format. The 3'x2' size makes it easy to transport and suitable for a wide range of applications.

Like the Panalux Sonara 4:4, the new Panalux Sonara 3:2 provides soft, immersive, color-accurate white light with a CCT range from 1600°K-20000°K and an integrated library of gel emulations of selected LEE filters.

All Panalux Sonara luminaires also offer a 0-100% dimming, flicker-free performance tested at 10,000 fps, full connectivity options including native LumenRadio CRMX, and a range of control modes that can be easily navigated via the detachable controller and intuitive user interface.

The CEO of Panalux, Mark Furssedonn, emphasizes that “Panalux was the first lighting company to introduce a high-capacity hybrid generator for film production, and with the Panalux Power i-Series, we are taking new steps towards realizing a sustainable future for our industry.” Likewise, the Panalux Sonara range combines energy-efficient LED technology with cutting-edge features that open new avenues of creative expression. “These new patented offerings exemplify Panalux’s commitment to offering our customers the most innovative and cutting-edge solutions to meet their lighting and energy needs.”
