Sky Germany produces the handball Bundesliga final with Vizrt in a cloud and 5G environment

Sky Germany used the live production solution Vizrt, which covers Viz Vectar Plus for switching, Free Viz for sports analysis and Viz Engine y Viz Arc for graphics, all through the cloud. Vizrt tools were provided by IS, specifically because of the function NDI Bridge, which moved the show's feed from the cloud to Sky's headquarters in Munich.
The production setup Sky Germany It also included a live mix of signals from broadcast cameras and mobile phones. For this work, a 5G transmission powered by technology LiveU with “almost zero” latency. It is not the first production of this type, since Sky, O2 and Vizrt promoted a similar experience in 2020.
