'The good boss' leads the nominations for the 2022 Feroz Awards

Los Feroz Awards have announced the nominations for their 2022 edition, which are led by the 9 candidates from The good boss from León de Aranoa.

The nominations for Feroz Awards 2022 have been announced from the Zaragoza Auditorium, the same venue that will host the awards ceremony on January 29. The event began with a few words of welcome from Sara Fernández, as vice mayor of Zaragoza: “the city is preparing with open arms, and with the warmth that characterizes us, to receive the nominees and the entire Spanish audiovisual and film sector on January 29.”

“The Feroz Awards and our collaboration with the Association of Cinematographic Informants of Spain to create an entire program around this event are making Zaragoza the home of the audiovisual sector in Spain,” said Fernández, who highlighted the importance of “reclaiming cinema as a sign of collective, artistic, social and cultural identity.”

They also participated in the event Maria Guerra, president of the Association of Cinematographic Informants of Spain, and the actors Elena Rivera y Brays Efe, who have announced the list of nominees for this edition.

The good boss, Parallel mothers and Maixabel they lead the cinema

In the film sections, the film by Fernando León de Aranoa The good boss addition nine nominations, thus equaling the record set by The bride in the 2016 edition. The good boss aspires to the awards for best comedy, direction and script (both by León de Aranoa), leading actor (Javier Bardem), supporting actors (Celso Bugallo, Manolo Solo and Almudena Amor), original music (Zeltia Montes), and trailer (Maurits Malschaert, Mick Aerts).

Libertad, de Clara Roquet, ha logrado cuatro nominaciones: best dramatic film, direction, script (both signed by Clara Roquet) and poster (Jordi Trilla). With three candidates There are two films: The love instead, by Rodrigo Cortés, also nominated for best direction, screenplay (by Cortés himself and the German writer David Safier) and music (Víctor Reyes); and Three, by Juanjo Jiménez, which is competing for the awards for best dramatic film, actress (Marta Nieto) and screenplay (a work by Jiménez with Pere Altimira). The quintet of candidates for best dramatic film completes it holy spirit, by Chema García Ibarra, while, in the best comedy category, they also compete Chavalas, by Carol Rodríguez Colás (with which Carolina Yuste aspires for best supporting actress); The cover, by Secun de la Rosa; An optical effect, by Juan Cavestany; and Six ordinary days, from Neus Ballús.

Also in the acting sections are Petra Martínez and Anna Castillo, candidates for best leading and supporting actress respectively for Life was that; Tamara Casellas, who is up for best leading actress for Or (film that already won the Feroz Puerta Oscura Award at the Malaga Festival); Eduard Fernández by Mediterranean; Roberto Álamo by Josefina; Ricardo Gómez and Pere Ponce for The substitute, who compete for best leading and supporting actor; and Chechu Salgado, who is competing for the Feroz for best supporting actor with The laws of the border. In the original music section, along with the aforementioned Alberto Iglesias, Zeltia Montes and Víctor Reyes, the music band Vetusta Morla competes for the film the daughter.

In addition, they have been finalists for the Feroz Cinetools Award for best trailer The grandmother (Miguel Ángel Trudu), The good boss (Maurits Malschaert, Mick Aerts), The laws of the border (Miguel Ángel Sanantonio), Parallel mothers (Alberto Leal) and Maixabel (Rafa Martínez, who has his 14th nomination in this category, which he has obtained twice).

Kings of the night y Come on John, prominent names in series

In the series sections, two comedies lead the competition with four nominations each: Kings of the night, by Adolfo Valor and Cristóbal Garrido, which in addition to best comedy aspires to best actor (Javier Gutiérrez), best actress and supporting actor (Itsaso Arana and Alberto San Juan); and Come on John, by Diego San José, whose previous delivery, Come on John, won the Feroz for best comedy in the last edition. Its protagonist, Javier Cámara (Feroz for best actor for the first season, Vote Juan), also competes for the award as the protagonist along with María Pujalte and Adam Jezierski as best supporting actors.

The nominations for best comedy series complete lost faggot, by Bob Pop, which has also earned nominations for Candela Peña and Miguel Rellán as supporting actors; and perfect life, by Leticia Dolera, with which Enric Auquer is once again competing for the Feroz for best supporting actor, which he already won two years ago. The category includes four titles instead of the usual five because the rules of the awards limit the number of candidates as less than 20 series are registered in this section.

The finalists for best drama series are Cardo, by Ana Rujas and Claudia Costafreda, which also aspires to win the Feroz for best actress with Ana Rujas herself and best supporting actress with Yolanda Ramos; Fortune, by Alejandro Amenábar, which has also achieved nominations for Ana Polvorosa as leading actress and Karra Elejalde as supporting actor; Stories to keep you from sleeping, by Alejandro Ibáñez and David García; The time I give you, by Nadia de Santiago, Pablo Santidrián and Inés Pintor, who also received nominations for best actress and leading actor, Nadia de Santiago herself and Álvaro Cervantes; and Hierro, by Pepe Coira, which also has its two main actors nominated, Candela Peña and Darío Grandinetti. Maribel Verdú, candidate for Ana Tramel, The game; Daniel Grao, by Hit; and Najwa Nimri, by The Money Heist.

On December 21, the nominations for the Feroz Arrebato Fiction Awards and of Non-fiction, intended for those works that deserve recognition for their special artistic achievements and/or innovative contributions in their respective fields.

Awards Gala

The Feroz 2022 ceremony will be held on January 29 in it Zaragoza Auditorium, presented by the film director Nacho Vigalondo and the comic Paula Púa, and with a script by Pilar de Francisco. The red carpet and the gala will be broadcast live on the YouTube of the Feroz Awards.

Los Feroz 2022 are organized by the Association of Cinematographic Informants from Spain and they have the Zaragoza City Council as the main sponsor. In addition, they are sponsored by the Ribera del Duero Denomination of Origin, Cotril and Cinetools and with the support of the Institute of Cinematography and Audiovisual Arts (ICAA) of the Ministry of Culture and Sports.

The ICE It is a plural group of more than 230 journalists and critics dedicated to reporting on cinema on television, radio, press and the Internet throughout the country. Since 2014, they have presented the Feroz Awards to highlight the best of Spanish audiovisual production of the year.
