The satellite operator Hispasat and the independent provider of transmission solutions, content protection and digital television monetization, NograThey will develop a wholesale television solution in an OTT (over-the-top) environment aimed at the Latin American market.

The service will allow payment television operators, Internet Services Suppliers (ISP) and regional content companies to offer their customers a service of Multipurrent entertainment of high quality online, for which it will not be necessary for their own infrastructure to deploy.

In this way, both the initial investment and the time needed for the launch of this type of solutions are reduced. In addition, the operator has made available to interested clients a demonstration of this service, whose launch is scheduled for the spring of 2022.

Within the framework of this collaboration, Hispasat will be responsible for the full exploitation of the service and will provide the infrastructure for video processing from its Telepuerto de Lurín (Peru), where your team currently operates several of the satellite television platforms for the main Latin American operators.

This includes the reception of linear content (television channels) and content to the letter, as well as its coding and publication. Thanks to the Nagra OPentV video platform and the cloud streaming solution VOS360 Harmonic, Hispasat customers will be able to promote, conserve and monetize their content.

In addition to additional tools to add and manage content and offer, group and set prices and visualize the design of apps; Nagra's solution will also include functions for content protection, such as digital rights management in Multipalla (Multi-DRM).

Likewise, and through its user experience platform, it will be responsible for developing user applications for decoders and streaming devices (including Smart TV), which can be customized for operators that use the service.

This new OTT service will take advantage of the latest technological benefits, including a deferred television solutions (Catch-Up TV) and interactive recording (PVR), several audio and subtitles channels, programming electronic guides services (EPG) and EPG recoil function, Timeshift, recordings management and parental control, in addition to the search and content recommendation. On the other hand, you will be able to offer your video to the letter services (VoD) as of linear channels through user applications in different devices and the hybrid decoders.
