Hispasat announces its new wholesale service Over The Top at NAB

The satellite operator Hispasat shows at its stand at NAB 2022 (W8510) a solution that will allow pay television operators and service providers to have a high-quality multi-screen OTT entertainment service over the Internet.

This new solution wholesale television in an OTT (Over-The-Top) environment reduces the initial investment, as well as the time necessary to launch this type of solutions.

Hispasat will be responsible for the full operation of the service and will provide the infrastructure for video processing from its Lurín teleport (Peru) including the reception of linear content (TV channels) and on-demand content, as well as its encoding and publishing, as well as additional tools to aggregate and manage content and offer, group and set prices and visualize the design of the apps.

On the other hand, the satellite operator is carrying out demonstrations of Hispasat Wave Video, its new generation of managed audiovisual services, which includes scalable end-to-end solutions for the delivery and distribution of television and content through satellite and OTT technology.

Wave Video enables operators, distributors, ISPs and content providers to reduce their costs and extend their reach to the widest possible audience. Hispasat Wave Video solutions have benefited from Hispasat's acquisition, in 2021, of the signal transport assets and operations of Media Newtoks Latin America in Peru.
