Editshare's collaborative and cloud proposal will reach unprecedented heights at NAB 2022
Flow software, key to the remote proposal of Editshare, you will receive multiple improvements that will be presented in NAB 2022.
For the first time, workflow tools Flow of Editshare may be synchronized with projects created with Media Composer, Adobe Premiere Pro y DaVinci Resolve. Sunil Mudholkar, vice president of product management at EditShare, points out that this development was born with the objective of “simplifying the daily experience of our customers.” “We have always provided interoperability with the NLE editing environment, but with this latest development we eliminate manual drag and drop, ensuring that project information is continually updated,” he emphasizes.
It will not be the only news that Flow receives. The EditShare solution will be compatible with the latest updates to the format RAW for camera systems RED y Blackmagic Design, and will be able to work with LUTs in real time, both in full resolution material and in proxies. At the same time, for the rapid editing of news and sports, FLOW becomes capable of ingest contributing sources IS and submit them immediately for editing.
Stephen Tallamy, CTO of EditShare, evaluates in this way the presence of the firm at the Las Vegas meeting, which will take place from April 23 to 27: "We are very happy to be able to meet with our friends, clients and collaborators at NAB2022. Also, excited to show so many innovations, all of them available now or that will be in the software version of June 2022, and of course we cannot wait to officially collect our recently awarded Emmy from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) in a ceremony during the course of the fair.”
Advances in security
The security and availability of content is vital for professional users. Therefore, EditShare has decided to create new hardware and software for this area.
He EFS 60NL is a new device, intended for nearline storage, that provides 60 disk bays in 4U of rack space. In the EditShare environment, nearline storage is ideal for content that is needed but not being worked on immediately, ready to be transferred to online servers with little delay. On this same level, the solution EFS Multi-Site allows users with multiple locations to take advantage of built-in file acceleration to synchronize project storage between EFS clusters at different installations, which “ensures users have immediate access to content, wherever they choose to work.”
Finally, Cloud Sync will extend the capabilities of Multi-Site to cloud storage, providing greater flexibility in access as well as archiving security. Further enhancements to the company's cloud offering and partnership with AWS.
