Nacho Vigalondo directs 'The Alarm', a new episode of 'Stories to keep you from sleeping
At the alarm, the new episode of the second season of Stories to keep you from sleeping, the acclaimed suspense series that Chicho Ibáñez created for TVE in the 60s, is already in the process of filming with Nacho Vigalondo as director.
This production of VIS, the international studios division of Paramount, in collaboration with the production company Prointel e Isla Audiovisual to Prime Video, which will premiere the series exclusively in Spain, is directed by Vigalondo, tells in its second self-contained episode the story of a couple that lives in a world that seems about to disappear.
An exciting and disturbing new installment that has a large and varied cast with established actors such as Roberto Álamo, Javier Gurruchaga, Neus Sanz, Carlos Areces, Aníbal Gómez, Sofía Oria and Jordi Coll.
The Alarm tells the strange experiences that a group of characters face in a near and dystopian future. No one knows exactly why, but it is impossible to go outside. Gabriel (Aníbal Gómez) and Claudio (Roberto Álamo) are a married couple who are forced to live with an unknown family while the world beyond the windows of their house seems to disintegrate forever. But the biggest threat of all might be inside, in the exact center of the dining room table. Or at the bottom of the nightstand drawer. Or in the past.
Nacho Vigalondo, nominated for the Oscar Awards in 2004 and the Goya Awards in 2007, directs this new suspense story, in which established actors participate, as well as promising young actors, with names such as Aníbal Gómez, Roberto Álamo, Sofía Oria, Javier Gurruchaga, Neus Sanz, Carlos Areces and Jordi Coll.
Along with The Transplant (directed by Salvador Calvo), The Nightmare (directed by Alice Waddington) and The Television (directed by Jaume Balagueró), At the alarm is one of the four reworkings that make up the second season of Stories to keep you from sleeping, the thriller remake that, after the premiere in Spain of the first season on Prime Video last November, earned a nomination for Best Fiction Series at the Forqué Awards in 2021 and for Best Drama Series at the Feroz Awards in 2021.
