Globo opts for the GV AMPP platform to produce events

The Brazilian tech media Globo has chosen the GV AMPP (Agile Media Processing Platform) platform from Grass Valley to produce and broadcast more than 50 live sporting and entertainment events. In 2022, Globo expects to produce more than 200 events.

GV AMPP is a SaaS platform It aims to enable customers to easily transition to workflows based on public, private, or hybrid cloud infrastructures.

Mauricio Felix, director of Infrastructure and Security at Globo, recognizes that "our objective is to optimize Globo's technological infrastructure and generate new business opportunities through a scalable platform. It has been a journey of learning and collaboration between Globo and Grass Valley to achieve the appropriate maturity of the platform, the operating model and the business model for our live production events.

GV AMPP has been specifically developed to free media companies from dependence on hardware-based media systems and accelerate their migration to the cloud. This platform provides users with a great flexibility to activate or deactivate applications as needed and pay only for the services used, even in live production environments where timing and low latency are essential.

The Grass Valley proposal is fundamental to the GV Media Universe concept, a comprehensive ecosystem of cloud-based tools, services and partners, revolutionizing the way live media is produced. GV AMPP offers soporte cloud-native y cloud-agnostic for video/audio processing in a variety of cloud-based options (public, private cloud, on-premise data center or hybrid topologies) giving customers a simple way to unlock flexible distributed production workflows, easily and quickly scaling up or down costs and features as needed.
