Catalunya Ràdio broadcasts for the first time from the metaverse

The team of Poppy, program Catalunya Radio (CCMA) headed by Mariola Dinarès, has decided to enter the metaverse.

Broadcasting from the Girona Fair, headquarters of the Catalan blockchain fair, the team popup has entered a virtual environment created by the CBCAT, the Blockchain Center of Catalonia, which reproduces the distribution of studio 1 of Catalunya Ràdio. He metaverso of Catalunya Radio created for the occasion has also included a stage from which Marc Parrot presented his song Facts and chance personified in an avatar.

During the program, Mariola Dinarès spoke with Quince Solomon, president of the Blockchain Center of Catalonia; Santi van Gelderen, CatVers developer; Toni Mateos, from FreeVers, and Cai Felip, from Union Avatars. With their testimonies, and with the experience of the program itself, listeners were able to discover why the metaverse in the future, what are its uses, and what is the difference with video games, which are in advance.

This particular episode of popup could be followed on YouTube Catalonia Radio. At the moment, it is not planned that the experience will be repeated in the near future.
