Sapec now includes decoding in its HEVC UHD 4K solution

Sivac-one, the solution Sapec real-time HEVC/H.265 encoding up to 2160p50/60 4K UHD, supports decoding functionality today. In this way, the modular solution can now also be configured as a decoder, thus allowing greater versatility and guaranteeing very low End to End latencies.

The solution, based on the high-performance card SMP1000, is available on two different platforms. On the one hand, Frame, housed in a 1-unit chassis and hot-swappable redundant power supply, with capacity for 3 cards. These cards can be configured as an encoder or decoder. On the other hand, the version Compact, portable and light (since it weighs less than 1.4 kilos) based on an SMP card, with an external redundant source, and which can be configured as an encoder or decoder.

Each Sivac card can be configured as a 2160p50/60 4K UHD video encoder (HDR, WCG) or as one multichannel solution up to 4x FHD/HD/SD channels. In both cases with 8/10-bit pixel depth, 4:2:2/4:2:0 chroma and up to 16 stereo channels of embedded audio on each card.

At the same time, each card is independent of the rest, and has a wide range of interfaces to adapt to the needs of each project: 12G/4x3G/HD/SD-SDI, ASI and IP UDP/ RTP with FEC SMPTE 2022-1/2/7 (Multicast/Unicast).
