Sapec presents its Avantos encoder/decoder with HEVC ITU-H.265 in real time
The new Sivac One modular coding system is another of Sapec's great revelations at this IBC 2015. With capacity for up to 3 high-performance encoders and with redundant power supplies in only 1RU.
Sapec At IBC 2015, Avantos debuts its latest real-time HEVC solution, along with its new range of High-End encoders and decoders at IBC 2015. This new complete family of encoders and decoders allows you to work with the new ITU-H.265 standard, optimized for both HD and SD.
The new Avantos have a lower bit-rate to achieve the same video quality, reducing the client's OPEX (operational exploitation costs).
The equipment has HD-SDI inputs and ASI outputs and video over IP with FEC (Forward Error Connection); while the audio encoding supports MPEG1-LII, AAC and Dolby Digital (as an option).
These are equipment with 1RU Chassis that are designed for large broadcasters and telcos worldwide. This does not mean that it is still a device that is easy to integrate, configure and use, and supports internal management of N+1 redundancies, and remote management and update via WEB/SNMP, as well as through the front panel using a keyboard and display.
New Sivac One
The new modular system of professional H.264 encoders from Sapec, Sivac is presented for the first time in Europe One. A device that allows you to install up to 3 encoders and redundant AC or DC power supplies in just 1RU using Hot Insertion. The encoders can support both MPEG2 and H.264, in Main and High profiles for distribution and in 8 and 10 bit H422 profiles for Contributions with very high quality and very low delay, with HD-SDI inputs (1 video / 16 audio), audio inputs (4 AES-EBU), generation of up to 8 PMTs and two ASI and two IP outputs (SMPTE 2022). Its energy efficiency is very high. One channel consumes less than 25W, one of the most efficient on the market.
The IRD Gredos family returns to Amsterdam
The Gredos family has been designed for satellite video signal transport (DSNG). The transmission equipment incorporates an encoder (MPEG2/H264) and a DVB-S/S2 modulator in a single 1RU, and the modulators can now be updated with the new features of the DVB-S2X standard. The family is expanded with new equipment that incorporates the ATSC encoder and modulator, reducing and simplifying the broadcast solution in small digital TV stations. In the range of receivers (IRD's) a new module appears to be able to receive signals in DVB-T/T2, which makes these devices one of the most versatile on the market and can be configured to receive signals by satellite (DVB-S/S2), by ATSC, by DVB-T, by IP, and by ASI.
These devices have MPEG2/AVC video encoding in Main, High and H422P profiles, and DVB-S/S2 modulation within the same chassis. All encoding algorithms have the same quality as the Altum II family, but the DVB-S2 satellite modulator has been incorporated.
Codecs HD Altum II
The new generation of Altum II contribution/distribution encoders, with models covering solutions from SD to HD with MPEG2, H264 and 422 contribution profiles, has reduced latencies and now incorporates new features such as a new Ethernet interface (3 in total), with complete parameter configuration through the front panel.
The Altum II are designed to offer high quality video distribution and can be optionally equipped with VideoFlow's DVP Digital Video Protection, making them devices that are built to ensure the highest quality within any live video transmission over unmanaged networks, such as an Internet connection.
Among the main features, the new equipment has an ASI and IP interface with FEC (Forward Error Connection); Internal management of N+1 redundancies; AC/DC power supply with possibility of redundancy; Remote management and update by WEB/SNMP; SD models are upgradable to HD at any time; They greatly improve the compression algorithms (lower bit-rate, but same image quality); They are committed to an environmental commitment with the improvement of energy efficiency (reduction of consumption by 30%); They have N+1 redundancy without external managers and with a By-Pass of the signal received by the deco to another destination.
