El Pirulí celebrates its 40 years of life with a large photographic exhibition
One of the symbols of RTVE, Cellnex and from the city of Madrid, El Pirulí (Torrespaña) turns 40 years old. The Corporation will celebrate this anniversary with a special lighting of the emblematic tower on June 7, 8 and 9, and with a photographic exhibition The Lollipop. 40 years of dreams.
The photographic exhibition will open on Tuesday, June 7, at the headquarters of the SGAE at 5:30 p.m., with the assistance of the president of RTVE, José Manuel Pérez Tornero; the general director of Cellnex, Albert Cuatrecasas, and the president of the SGAE, Antonio Onetti.
This journey in images through the forty years of history of Pirulí can be seen from June 7 to 21. The exhibition includes photographs of its construction (which began in 1981), its inauguration in 1982, the interior of the building, aerial views and the Torrespaña control room.
On the other hand, The Lollipop. 40 years of dreams It will also highlight the different lighting events that it has experienced on the occasion of special moments in the history of RTVE, such as the 50th anniversary of Spanish Television or the start of the campaign The Great Consultation in September of last year.
