Videosys Simplifies Camera Connections with Epsilon
The CCU Epsilon, the latest development of Videosys Broadcast, is a tool designed to simplify the installation and use of RF camera systems, reducing “assembly time and complexity.”
Epsilon has been designed to make the installation of cameras easier by offering a system conceptually similar to typical CCU systems Supplied by leading camera manufacturers. The base station offers familiarity with the nomenclature of the connections, which seeks a Minimal intervention from operators and vision mixers. The system, configured primarily to operate with the range of DTC transmitters, with optional operation of double head, also offers maximum ratio combining (MRC) of up to four channels.
Thanks to its interface touch screen and to his Compatibility with existing camera control systems, Epsilon fits both for studio events and outdoor broadcasts. The device (with one-way or two-way backhaul control) consists of up to two dual-channel fiber receiving modules, receptor de RF and options HD decoding – H264 or H265 up to 4K. In 4K mode, Epsilon can operate with a single or dual pedestal.
The German solution provider Studio Hamburg MCI you are already using Epsilon of Videosys in his latest projects, as confirmed Nicolai Gajek, Sales Director: "The Epsilon system from Videosys is an easy-to-use wireless camera system. All you have to do for single-zone operation is plug in an SMPTE cable and you're ready to go. Plug-and-play. Furthermore, it convinces by combining the components of a wireless video system with telemetry control and fiber conversion in a single device." Gajek adds that it is also possible to make multi-zone operations, depending on the system configuration: "Another great feature is the “Dual Pedestal” license, which doubles the data rate by doubling the RF bandwidth. This is especially important for high-brightness productions where very high image quality is needed without increasing latency."
