Atresmedia NFT The Protected The Return Deltapik

Freeverse has closed an agreement with Atresmedia to launch DeltaPik, a platform from which the media group will launch collections of NFTs.

With this movement, Atresmedia becomes the “first” Spanish audiovisual group to launch a collection in format NFTs based on one of its most successful fiction brands: The Protected: the return, a new batch of episodes that a decade later continues the story of The Protected (2010-2012).

Initially, Atresmedia will not auction or market its NFT assets, but will instead launch a contest for fans of the series to test their knowledge. Las 300 personas that demonstrate greater knowledge about The Protected: the return will win one of the 300 limited edition NFTs, which will have their corresponding technology-based certification blockchain.

Atresmedia joins a long list of companies in the world of entertainment that have opted for NFTs, such as Fox Corporation, CNN, ViacomCBS, Warner Bros., DC o Lionsgate, among others.

In recent times, prominent names in the audiovisual field have stated that the NFT (Non-Fungible-Tokens) could represent a fantastic avenue of income for creators and rights owners. Is this true? What really are NFTs? What is behind this phenomenon? We analyze it in Panorama Audiovisual.
