Spanish animation says goodbye to the unrepeatable Claudio Biern
Claudio Biern, producer of eternal cartoon series such as David the Gnome, D'Artacan and the three Musketeers o Around the world of Willy Fog, has died at 82 years of age.
Producer, screenwriter, film director, businessman and founder of BRB International y Apolo Films, Beers He was a founding member of the Television Academy and vice president of the first board of directors that he chaired Jesus Hermida. His legacy remains to have marked the childhood of an entire generation by promoting animated adaptations of classics of universal literature such as D'Artacan and the three Musketeers o Around the world of Willy Fog, as well as the adaptation of The secret book of the gnomes in the form of David, The Gnome.
Apart from these great productions, Beers produced others series widely remembered as Mozart's band o The Untouchables by Elliot Mouse; managed the rights from other animated series such as Maya the bee, Marco, Viki the Viking y Tom and Jerry; created and produced fiction programs as The wise men, La nit bruixa, Temptation, Your past condemns me, Ambitions o Gran Splash; and encouraged 15 animated feature films, among which stand out D'Artacán and the three muskedogs, The great adventure of the gnomes, Sandokan, Willy Fog in around the world in 80 days y Wild Records.
The Television Academy has issued a statement in which it defines Biern as “an unrepeatable professional.” Throughout his career, the producer received multiple recognitions such as Extraordinary Talent Award from the Television Academy in 2017 or the Golden Biznaga of the Malaga Festival 2012.
