Spanish animation opens borders in Latin America
Imira Entertainment, a Spanish audiovisual producer and distributor specialized in children's and youth content, closes sales agreements with several television stations in Brazil, Argentina and Ecuador, thus opening new frontiers for Spanish animation in the region.
Imira Entertainment is opening doors in the Latin American market, signing several agreements for its catalog in the region, with sales in Brazil, Argentina and Ecuador.
In Brazil, preschool series produced by Imira, Vitaminix (104X2´) y Remove it (39X3´) have been sold to the free-to-air channel Canal Futura. Likewise, TV Cultura, also open television, has acquired the fiction series Wicked Science (52×26’), producida por Jonathan M. Shiff Productions, FFC, Film Victoria, Network Ten y ZDF Enterprises. Wicked Science It has also been sold to Canal 7 in Argentina, along with the animated series Corneil & Bernie (52X13´) from Millimages.
In Ecuador, Imira has sold three series to commercial television RTV, the series Millimages Bugged (52X7´) y Monk (52×3’) and the series of Breakthrough Entertainment Dino Dan (52X11´+ 1X22).
With these agreements, Imira Entertainment reinforces its presence in the Latin American market and adds even more value to the Spanish animation industry.
Christophe Goldberger, director of distribution and marketing at Imira Entertainment, commented that “we have been focused on establishing relationships with Latin America for several years and these agreements show how the region has become a key market for our catalog.”
