The Film Academy celebrates its Tribute to Professionals 2022

Katrina Bayonas, Manuel Galiana, Alsira García-Maroto, Carlos López Arranz and Antonio Santamarina are recognized by the Film Academy for his career behind the cameras in his now classic Tribute to Professionals.

Supported by friends, family and colleagues, five professionals from our cinema received a tribute from the Film Academy this Monday. Representatives of actors and actresses Katrina Bayonas y Alsira García-Maroto, the animation director Manuel Galiana, the restorer Carlos Lopez Arranz and the film researcher Antonio Santamarina They were the protagonists of the Tribute to Professionals 2022, an award that the institution grants for the twelfth year.

“We always have our doors open for you, who rarely see your merits publicly recognized,” said the president. Fernando Méndez-Leite, which opened this event in which the performers Assumpta Serna and Guatavo Salmerón; the director Ana Díez; and Pablo Blanco and Julio Díez, members of the assembly and animation specialty of the institution's Board of Directors, presented the awards to this edition's honorees.

Through a video, the actor Alberto Ammann, the actress Elena Anaya, the animation directors, scriptwriters and producers Raúl García and Sergio Pablos, the director, scriptwriter and actress Iciar Bollaín, the actor Darío Grandinetti, the actress and director Maria de Medeiros, the directors and scriptwriters Alejandro Amenábar and Juanma Bajo Ulloa, the former director of the Spanish Filmoteca Chema Prado, the director of the Basque Filmoteca also dedicated a few words to them through a video Joxean Fernández and the director of the San Sebastián Festival José Luis Rebordinos.
