LaLiga Studios, producer of LaLiga and Banijay Iberia, is born

LaLiga Studios

LaLiga and Banijay Iberia have joined forces to promote LaLiga Studios, a new sports-related content production company.

LaLiga Studios was born with the aim of becoming a global referent in the creation of content related to “sport and its universal values”. The production company will bring together the production of audiovisual content of LaLiga, clubs, sponsors and broadcasters, and will collaborate with platforms and brands internationally in the content development, production and distribution entertainment, documentary, fiction and animation.

The new company has appointed as managing director and EP Chalo Bonifacino Cooke, who will be in charge of coordinating a international growth which will foreseeably be boosted thanks to the presence of both companies in multiple markets. The agreement will become effective in the next weeks.

This is how he values ​​the initiative Oscar Mayo, corporate general director of LaLiga: "We have an ambitious plan for LaLiga Studios, we want to work with the best brands and to do so we need to have the best partner. Going to the market with the support of the quality and experience of Banijay Iberia is for us the best of beginnings." On the other hand, Pilar Blasco, CEO of Banijay Iberia, adds: "We are very proud to announce this partnership with LaLiga, great generators of narratives around sport and its values. We put at your disposal our experience in the production and creation of premium content so that these stories are told, with the highest quality standards, and are known around the world."
