Clapperboard, new fiction production company of the iZen group in the United Kingdom, is born

The new fiction production company will be led by the general director of the British Chalkboard TV, Mike Benson.

The Spanish audiovisual group iZen has just launched a new fiction production company in the United Kingdom called Clapperboard.

The launch is a key step in iZen's strategy, thus expanding its network of independent production companies in multiple genres in Spain (Zebra Producciones, Europroducciones, Boca a Boca, Hill Valley, Proima and Newco) and the United Kingdom (Chalkboard TV and Storyboard Studios).

Jose Velasco, president of iZen, highlights that "the launch of Clapperboard complements our presence in the United Kingdom. This new production company will focus on creating and producing successful fiction series."

The general director of the British production company Chalkboard TV, Mike Benson, who will lead Clapperboard, adds that "iZen revolves around creative collaboration and with the launch of Clapperboard we want to approach fiction production in a different way, recognizing the central role of scriptwriters and directors. We want to be a platform for talent, helping them make their ideas a reality, giving them production and financial support, as an international group that we are."

The English series (Chalkboard TV) is Channel 5's first fiction in its 22-year history; and El Cid For its part, it is the Amazon Original blockbuster produced by Zebra that will soon be released in more than 240 countries and territories around the world.

Headed by José Velasco, Sara Fernández and Carlo Boserman, iZen is made up of Zebra Producciones, BocaBoca, Europroducciones, Hill Valley and Proima Zebrastur. It has more than 1,500 hours of annual production on all national and regional networks, as well as productions in numerous countries.
