The integrator Fluge Audiovisuales trusted AEQ technology for Gamergy at IFEMA
AEQ deployed two complete intercom systems to coordinate the production of different events in the two independent stages it had Gamergy at IFEMA. Furthermore, the integrator flights It also featured an Olympia 3 commentary unit.
Gamergy is the most important and spectacular gamer meeting in Spain, with a great projection and impact on the video game community. In this way, it has become among all the participants, attendees, and players the most important event of the year for this way of gaming life, which is held every year at the IFEMA venue in Madrid at the end of the year.
For such a massive event, the company selected to take care of the entire audiovisual part was the integrator Fluge. Its technical managers entrusted all the assembly and technical support of the intercom and internal communications system to AEQ.
AEQ's rental division prepared for the appointment two complete intercom systems for production coordination of different gaming events in the two independent stages set up for the event. In addition, a commentary unit was also integrated, Olympia 3, for “casters”, which supplied the audio in production.
Each intercom system was located in the production control (control room) of a stage. The largest system and a commentary unit was located on stage 2, in hall 6. This hall had a main stage, called 1, and stage 2, or secondary. In addition, there was also the food-truck and dining area. The other Intercom system was installed on stage 3, which was in pavilion 4 of IFEMA.
IP technology
For the operation of the scenario 2, they were configured 10 user panels and 6 wireless beltpacks, plus a commentator unit. The system chosen was AEQ Crossnet to have AoIP integration with Dante technology and other external audio sources. The wireless part is made up of AEQ Xplorer packs, initially estimating a couple of access points to cover the entire necessary area. The beltpacks support 3 cameras, a stage manager, a stage combat controller and an assistant. Finally, an AEQ Olympia 3 digital position was used for the commentators, which is also connected to the matrix through Dante.
The employment of IP technology throughout the assembly simplified wiring tasks, minimized the previous hours of installation, and made it possible to offer great versatility in the operation, with countless changes in real time to adapt to a production as agile and dynamic as the live broadcast of video game games requires.
Finally, in the scenario 3 of IFEMA, a somewhat smaller system was deployed, where they were necessary 7 panels and 3 wireless beltpacks, also connected to a system with an AEQ Crossnet matrix.
