Buendía Estudios hires Laura Abril as executive director of fiction and global business development
Laura Abril will join the Buendía Estudios team in April as executive director of Fiction and Global Business Development (EVP Scripted and Global Business Development), and will report directly to Ignacio Corrales, general director.
Corrales highlights that "the incorporation of Laura Abril to the company is a planned step within the strategic development of Buendía. In a sector in continuous transformation and with great competition, the incorporation of specialized and experienced professionals is key. At Buendía Estudios we consider the team our main company value and the addition of Laura Abril reinforces our positioning in this sense."
Abril assumes the direction of the Fiction area, based on a solid team of executive producers. In addition, his responsibilities include the Global Business Development area with the objective of promoting the company's firm commitment to expansion. “Buendía Estudios has quickly become a benchmark in the sector, and it is a privilege to join the company at this time of so much excitement in the audiovisual entertainment industry,” highlights the executive.
