Blackout, the new original series Movistar+ produced by Buendía Studios, has begun filming with the filming of its third episode, written and directed by Isa Campo (Maixabel).

Blackout brings together different creators around a question: “what would happen if a solar storm caused an unprecedented blackout?” Taking this premise, different Spanish creators will create their particular microcosms to shape the five episodes of 50 minutes of this initiative produced by Buendía Studios under the creative coordination of Fran Araújo.

The filming of Blackout has begun with what will be its third episode, which began on December 13 and will extend until December 31 in Valdeluz (Guadalajara). The episode stars, among others, Patricia López Arnaiz (The plague, The daughter), Zoe Arnao (The girls) and Miquel Fernández (The pier, Adu), and tells how, after the blackout that has paralyzed the country, the residents of a small urbanization have managed to organize themselves to survive in this new reality. Everything changes when a group of children settles in the area and threatens the coexistence they had built.

Later, filming of the chapters will begin, led by director Rodrigo Sorogoyen and screenwriter Isabel Peña (Anti-disturbances); the director Raúl Arévalo (Late for anger) and screenwriter Alberto Marini (The stranger, While you sleep); the director Alberto Rodríguez (The Minimal Island, The Plague) and screenwriter Rafael Cobos (The Man of a Thousand Faces, The Plague); and director Isaki Lacuesta (between two waters) and the screenwriters Isa Campo (The next skin, Maixabel) and Fran Araújo (Hierro).
