Buendía Estudios shoots the Movistar Plus+ original 'Galgos'

Greyhounds, un original Movistar Plus+ produced by Buendía Studios, directed by Félix Viscarret and Nelly Reguera, is a business and family drama that stars the Somarriba family and Grupo Galgo, a food giant that has seen three of its generations grow.

The crisis in the sector, fueled by internal corruption, pressure from private labels, the threat of new regulations that seek healthier eating and the possible closure of the group's oldest factory, provoke a series of chain events that will shake the pillars of the Somarriba family. It is now when loyalty, love, trust and family will have to be measured against betrayal, selfishness, control and deception.

Greyhounds has a choral cast renowned: Adriana Ozores, the Argentine actor Oscar Martínez, Marcel Borràs, Patricia López Arnaiz, María Pedraza, Jorge Usón, Francesco Carril, Luis Bermejo and Daniela Estay.

Escrita por Clara Roquet, Francisco Kosterlitz, Pablo Remón y Lucía Carballal y dirigida por Félix Viscarret y Nelly Reguera, la serie arrancó su rodaje en septiembre en Madrid y se prolongará hasta finales de diciembre, recorriendo distintas localizaciones de Madrid, Cantabria y Bruselas.

Empresa y familia

Carmina Somarriba (Adriana Ozores) y Emilio Somarriba (Luis Bermejo) son los herederos del Grupo Galgo, empresa familiar especializada en bollería, chocolates y alimentación infantil. La crisis del sector, la inminente llegada de la ley del azúcar y la falta de liderazgo de Emilio, presidente de Galgo desde que falleció su padre, hacen que la empresa no pase su mejor momento.

Gonzalo Díaz (Oscar Martínez), Carmina's husband, after many years working alongside Emilio, has his own plans for the company, but a sudden and unexpected decision by Carmina causes a family and business earthquake that will also affect his children Blanca (Patricia López Arnáiz), Guzmán (Marcel Borràs), Jimena (María Pedraza) and Julián (Jorge Usón). The struggle for power will separate them, and Carmina will have to choose between saving the company or her family.
