The producer of audiovisual content in Spanish for the national and international market promoted by Telefónica and Atresmedia trusts
the helm to the until now general director of Atresmedia Studios.

Ignacio CorralesTelefónica y Atresmedia have appointed Ignacio Corrales general director of Buendía Studios. The new company, 50% owned by both companies, aims to create and produce audiovisual content in Spanish around the world.

Corrales has stated that "the birth of Buendía Estudios is very good news for the Spanish audiovisual industry and comes to underpin the good health that production enjoys in our country and its success in the international market. With this project, Telefonica and Atresmedia culminate their commitment to content and unite their experience and resources to turn Buendía Estudios into a large global producer of content in Spanish. Our company was born with the vocation of becoming the reference studio for the creation and production of content in “Spanish for everyone.”

Ignacio Corrales, born in Santander in 1964, has a degree in Business from the Complutense University of Madrid, Executive M.B.A. (Business Institute), completes his training with the Master in Internet Business (ISDI). Until the creation of Buendía Estudios, he was general director of Atresmedia Studios.

In recent years Ignacio Corrales has held various positions of responsibility. At Sogetel (film production company of Grupo Prisa, Dr. Financiero from 1990-1995, at Aurum Producciones (Grupo Antena 3) Deputy General Director (1995-1998) at Multipark Madrid (Canal Cocina, Canal Cosmoplitan TV) General Director (1999-2006). At Vértice 360 he has been General Director of Operations (2007-2009), Director General (2009-201) and General Director of Development (2011-2012). Later Director of TVE (2012-2014), Vice President of Lavinia (2014-2015) and General Director of NeverSeen (2015-2017).

A specialist in management of audiovisual companies and corporations, he has developed a successful professional career in the audiovisual sector, accumulating extensive experience in the production and distribution of content in both fiction and entertainment.

Buendía Estudios has the vocation to promote Spanish and Latin American talent around the world. The new company will focus its activity on national and international operators, contributing to the revitalization of the Spanish audiovisual sector and the industrial fabric of independent production in our country, promoting associations and co-productions with other companies in the sector.
