Canon PTZ Auto Tracking Auto Loop

Canon Expands the versatility of several of your PTZs with two new applications available through the application system add-on: Auto Tracking y Auto Loop.

Initially announced in January and presented to the public at ISE 2023 along with the CR-N700, the payment application Auto Tracking RA-AT001 and the application Auto Loop RA-AL001 from Canon can be used with cameras CR-N500, CR-N300 y CR-X300 from August.

The application Auto Tracking Canon automatically follows people to ensure they are always framed and within the shot without the intervention of a camera operator, which allows scenes to be recorded with one camera or with several at the same time without the need for an operator to be present. Auto tracking processes are developed internally in the chamber, which makes it unnecessary to have an external device for this function. Canon has also confirmed that the tracking system will feature a composition function, which will allow operators to adjust the optimal position so that the subject is always well framed. In parallel, the tracking sensitivity will offer up to ten levels of adjustment, allowing the system to adapt to a wide variety of uses.

On the other hand, the application Auto Loop makes it possible for Canon PTZs to perform pan movement. pan, tilt and zoom so pre-programmed and automatic, without the need for an operator to manually change the socket. This system has been developed thinking about contexts in which operators must make movements of the simple and repetitive camera, such as in music concerts or shots with an audience within a broadcast format. The solution comes with two standard movement options, LOOP y back forward, which are completed with smooth adjustments Acceleration/deceleration start/stop to simulate manual camera movements. These features are programmable and customizable.

Canon has also introduced a new Firmware update for its range of PTZ that expands its integration with EOS Cinema cameras. Thanks to this free upgrade that will reach mid-2023, users will be able to access common settings for both cameras, including shutter angle and speed, as well as a function of color compensation to homogenize the white balance. In addition, thanks to this improvement, the CR-X300 will have the incorporation of the protocol SRT and protocol compatibility Free-D.
