The Fujinon Duvo 24-300mm lens reinforces Fujifilm's commitment to the cinematic look in broadcast
Fujifilm expands the Duvo series, which produces cinematic visual expressions with beautiful bokeh and broadcast lens performance, with the zoom lens Fujinon Duvo 24-300mm.
The new Fujinon Duvo 24-300 it's a goal zoom broadcast dual-format portable, compatible with two types of large image sensors, aimed at live coverage of sporting events and music concerts, among other applications. Fujifilm's latest solution offers a zoom 12,5x which covers the 24-300 mm frequently used on set, at the same time that it is presented as a “compact and light” device with 270.5 mm in length and 2.95 kg.
The objective of dual format is compatible with two large sensors that are common among cinema cameras: both the sensor Super 35 mm, as with a sensor equivalent to 35mm full frame. With a maximum opening of T2,9 At the wide angle end, the system stands out for offering a controlled bokeh effect without sacrificing “optical performance that exceeds the 4K", which eliminates the ghost images, haze and color loss. The Duvo 24-300 also stands out for including breathing compensation technology, which automatically corrects focus breathing; remote backfocus, which allows you to control the focal length of the distance from the image formation plane to a subject from the camera control panel or on mobile units, and is compatible with the ZEISS eXtended Data system, which allows recording lens metadata and distortion and shading corrections.
The lens can be handled in the same way as a broadcast, using the zoom and focus controls, so it can also be used with a wide variety of accessories. Furthermore, as it is a portable type lens, the new unit can be used not only for shoulder-mounted shooting, but also handheld with a steadicam or wide-angle with a crane.
Fujifilm plans to present the Fujinon Duvo 24-300mm, as well as the new Duvo Wide, a wide-angle zoom lens with a focal length of 14-100mm, in IBC 2023 (September 15 – 18, 2023).
