at Fujifilm MicroSalon 2023

Hybrid optics, cinema optics, a video camera with photo functionalities and a customizable tool for data storage are the products with which Fujifilm arrives at the VI edition of the AEC MicroSalón, which is held in Madrid on December 1 and 2.

Those attending this international event, organized by the Spanish Association of Directors of Photography (AEC), are being able to see first-hand the functionalities of two new hybrid lenses: the laptop Fujinon Duvo 24-300mm and the Fujinon Duvo Box 25-1000mm.

The Fujinon Duvo 24-300mm, which will go on sale in spring 2024, is a new line of compact and lightweight portable lenses, which allows a great mobility and offers greater camera position options. It has a 12.5x zoom, which covers the 24-300 mm frequently used on set, and manages to be compact and lightweight at 270.5 mm in length and 2.95 kilos in weight, thanks to optical technology developed over many years. In addition, it can be handled in the same way as a broadcast lens, using the zoom and focus controls, so it also supports a wide variety of accessories, and can be used not only for shoulder-mounted shooting, but also handheld with a steadycam or wide-angle with a crane.

He Fujinon Duvo Box 25-1000 mm, on the other hand, is the zoom with higher magnification ratio in the world, a 40x, and also with the longest focal length in the world, 1,000 mm. Supports two sensor sizes: Super35 and Full Frame and its small depth of field allows you to recreate cinematic images with a beautiful bokeh effect, making it ideal for sporting events, live concerts and other live broadcasts.

Santiago Sanz, optical devices commercial and technical manager at Fujifilm Spain, comments that "Fujifilm has taken advantage of its advanced optical technology, developed over many years, to create the dual-format Duvo Series to meet the increasingly diverse needs of front-line video professionals. Thus, the Duvos support two types of large image sensors and produce cinematic visual expressions with a beautiful bokeh effect and broadcast lens operation."

Prize Series

At this fair, the company is also showing its Premista series, three optics created for large format sensors, which offer exceptional high resolution. On the one hand, the Premista 19-45 mm is a wide-angle zoom lens that covers focal lengths from 19mm to 45mm, with a constant T-Stop aperture of 2.9. Thanks to its large diameter aspheric lenses and unique zoom system, it achieves an astonishing level of edge-to-edge sharpness. Additionally, distortion is minimal throughout the entire zoom range, even at the longest focal lengths. Thanks to the high quality of its mechanical design, this new compact zoom lens, 230 mm / 9” long and 3.3 kg / 7 lb 4 oz in weight, can be used for handheld shooting with a steadycam or other stabilization system, as well as for wide-angle shots with a crane.

He Premista 28-100 mm, the first in the series to appear on the market, is a standard zoom lens, covering a focal length range from 28 to 100 mm, which is equivalent to 6 fixed focal lenses, saving time and the inconvenience of having to change lenses frequently.

As for the Premista 80-250 mm T2.9-3.5 is a telephoto zoom that covers a focal length range of 80 to 250 mm. Achieve stunning optical quality from the center to the edges, suppressing unwanted flare and ghosting.

Additionally, it has been added tracking AF function for video recording. Users can tap the screen to specify a subject to track while shooting in AF-C + Wide/Tracking AF mode, allowing the camera to track the correct subject in situations where there are multiple subjects in the frame.
