VP Silvertown studio relies on Absen PL2.5 Pro panels

516 paneles LED Roll call PL2.5 Pro are the axis of the production of the London virtual production company Silvertown Studios.

After experimenting during the pandemic with the advantages of virtual production, Silvertown Studios has set out to create a study of more than 1800 metros squares focused on this key technology for the present future of cinema, television and events. After researching and testing several LED panels, the British company ended up opting for 516 paneles LED of the model PL2.5 Pro of Roll call, which offer a ⅛ sweep speed, a distance between pixels of 2,5 mm and has up to 1500 nit brightness.

The system, which incorporates processing Brompton, offers support for full 4K screens with 12 bits per color output; includes the function Shuttersync, which tunes the LED screen to the camera offering greater creative flexibility for camera settings; has a viewing angle 160/140, which results in less darkening and color shift, and a gray scale 16 bits, which allows precise reproduction and tonal transitions, which results in less posterization.

Silvertown Studios, which has already tested this system with a significant number of clients, is confident that the popularity of virtual productions continues to grow in the coming years.
