Ten years have passed since Tomas Nielsen and David Martínez founded Datos Media Technologies, one of the integrators that has become a benchmark in the audiovisual industry today. Coinciding with the celebration in Amsterdam of IBC 2023, Data Media and its sound division Soundware Media celebrated this anniversary in the company of numerous partners and clients.

Data Media Technologies was born out of a need for quality in audiovisual integration. Nielsen and Martínez, both professionals with extensive experience in the sector, decided to undertake this project in 2013, developing a company that has not stopped advancing under an organic growth model through new business lines and suppliers.

Throughout this trajectory, they have maintained an unbreakable spirit of improvement, focused on continuous improvement and expansion of its business portfolio. In 2015, Vantec, the most important company in the Portuguese broadcast market, became part of the family and its acquisition has led to an expansion of the product catalog, reinforcing the positioning in both countries of the Iberian Peninsula. Likewise, in 2018 Data launched SoundWare Media, division specialized in the supply, integration and support of professional audio.

Data AverageData Media has worked on the development of own know-how, which has allowed them to stay at the forefront of new trends and needs in broadcasting, from shared broadcast production and post-production systems, to media management, automation, advanced filing systems, cloud integration and content broadcasting.

The progressive growth that the company has experienced year after year is based on the satisfaction of its clients, guaranteeing, at all times, a competent, fast and highest quality service, based on the most complete catalog of comprehensive solutions for broadcasting, among other actions, carried out within a framework of social, environmental and economic responsibility.

As members of the Danmon Group, which has more than 35 years of experience and a consolidated position in different international broadcast markets, its main objective is to connect companies with their main audiences, wherever they are, allowing their clients to create, systematize and deliver content to their viewers and listeners in the fastest and most efficient way.

Innovative projects

Throughout this decade, Data Media has been responsible for the integration of leading systems of program and news production in the main private and public media in broadcasters such as RTVE, Canal Sur, Mediaset, 1B3, TV3, À Punt, Movistar+, Telemadrid or AMC Networks. They have also carried out numerous projects in the field of training and institutions such as several universities or the Senate.

Among the projects tackled in recent years highlights the comprehensive renovation of the production system in Prado del Rey, the migration in HD and integration of LED screens in the Territorial Centers of RTVE, the new set of the Telediario or the Canal 24 Horas in Torrespaña; updating the filing system on Canarias TV; the renovation of the audiovisual system on a campus of the Carlos III University; the renewal of news sets in regional broadcasters such as À Punt, CMMedia or Aragón Tv; the integration of a cloud content exchange platform in La Xarxa or the launch of the integrated editing, broadcast and archiving platform in Canal Sur.
