Take 2 Studios

Located in the heart of Europe, the new virtual studios of Take 2 Studios in Salzburg (Austria) will have an agile, profitable, reliable and sustainable virtual production environment thanks to StarTracker Max technology from Mo-Sys.

Founded by brothers Viktoria and Felix Brandstetter, who share a deep passion for creative, innovative and collaborative work, Take 2 Studios has already completed its first full-length television spot project for one of the world's leading automotive brands. The team has also quickly established a strong pipeline of opportunities, underlined by the success of a grand opening that attracted global interest.

Viktoria Brandstetter explains that “I have always been involved in graphic design and marketing. Felix started out as a sound engineer before his love of technology and storytelling led him to film and, eventually, virtual production. We often collaborate on projects and always wanted to work together in a broader way. “We are delighted to combine our strengths, learn and grow together with our team, while delivering incredible projects for our clients.”

StarTracker Max is at the heart of Take 2 Studios and is instrumental in realizing clients' virtual production ideas. Studio 1 has a 8 x 3 meter curved LED screen, while Studio 2 offers a large cyclorama.

“Our commitment is to offer customers the best possible experience,” adds Felix Brandstetter. “An important step to achieve this was the careful selection of the equipment. We couldn't afford to make mistakes, so we took our time to find solutions and meet with manufacturers. Relationships matter, and we quickly felt a strong connection with Mo-Sys, so camera tracking became one of the easiest choices.”

“With its new browser interface, StarTracker Max was very easy to set up and has worked great ever since. Our engineers love its solid performance, small design, and lack of external PC. From a business point of view, we will soon be able to access additional features and will not have to reinstall or adjust calibration regularly. That means maximum studio operating time, satisfied clients and an investment in the future,” he adds.

Sustainability

Take 2 Studios is also deeply committed to sustainability. This has influenced everything from marketing activities to investment in smart energy management solutions or the use of solar energy.

Luiza Maddalozzo, responsible for Sustainability, recognizes that “we wanted to do more and go beyond the ecological benefits of virtual production, such as the reduction of CO2 emissions thanks to reduced travel. We have gone further and, for example, created a partnership with a local rehousing and secondhand organization that can provide props, creating a reuse network. So when we need a washing machine or a sofa, we bring it in temporarily and then it goes back to the retailer.”
