CineMad Window 9th edition Winning projects

More than 600 accredited people have been part of the 9th edition of CineMad Window, which closes its doors with the delivery of more than €70,000 to the winning projects.

CineMad Window, laboratory and international co-production forum organized by the Madrid Audiovisual Association (AMA), with the collaboration of the Community of Madrid and the Madrid City Council, and the support of organizations such as Madrid Films y Madrid Film Office, has welcomed during two days more than 150 meetings and professional meetings. These interactions are the programmatic axis of the meeting, created to promote internationalization of the Madrid audiovisual fabric through awards for the most promising projects on the small and big screen.

In total eight prizes and two mentions have been awarded. The first three in the feature film category were: 1st Prize Ventana CineMad Cinema (€15,000) for Lord take me soon, directed by Guillermo F. ​​Flórez and produced by Nadége Labé (La Société du Sensible) and Guillermo F. ​​Flórez; 2nd Ventana CineMad Cine Prize (€10,000) for happy and olé, directed by Clara Santaolaya and produced by Nacho La Casa (Capitán Araña), and 3rd Ventana CineMad Cine Award (€5,000) for This body of mine, directed by Afioco Gnecco and Carolina Yuste and produced by Carlo D’Ursi (Potenza Producciones).

In the television category, the awards went to: 1st Prize CineMad TV Window (€15,000) for Toxic positivity, directed by Pedro Rudolphi and produced by Samuel Lopez (Alpha Productions) and Kevin Iglesias (Amania Films); 2nd Prize Window CineMad TV (€10,000) for Overcome, directed by Ainhoa ​​Menéndez Goyoaga and produced by Nuria Landete (Sideral), and 3rd Ventana CineMad TV Prize (€5,000) for Mar Minor, directed by Blanca Torres and produced by Clara Nieto (Powehi Films) and Álvaro Longoria (Morena Films).

Better pitch and mentions of Ventana CineMad

He Best Pitch Award (€3,000) from Ventana CineMad has been for Atlas of disappearance, directed by Manuel Correa and produced by Ana Giralt Gris (Artefacto) and Jorge Caballero Ramos (Gusanofilms). Lastly, the TorinoFilmLab Next Award, created thanks to an agreement with the TorinoFilmLab, has been for three ages, directed by Jiajie Yu Yan and produced by César Esteban Alenda and José Esteban Alenda (Solita Films), who will participate in this prestigious laboratory.

The jury has also awarded a special mention to the project that, due to its characteristics, will be shot or post-produced in the city or Community of Madrid, to Toxic positivity, and another for the project that will best contribute to the international projection of Madrid for a head on the wall, directed by Manuel Manrique and produced by Diego Saniz (Kabiria Films).

In addition, each of the selected projects will receive a economical bag for the internationalization of your project. The jury for this edition was made up of Marta G. Sarabia, film producer; Luis E. Parés, artistic director of Cineteca and filmmaker; and Enrique González Khun, general director of Caramel Films.

An increasingly larger industrial meeting

During its two days, Ventana CineMad has had more than 600 accredited, completing the capacity during the first day. There have been more than 150 meetings professionals created to promote the internationalization of the Madrid audiovisual fabric and the promotion of the local and regional industry by promoting filming and quality audiovisual production. These meetings have been held with mentors, co-producers, international sales agents, distributors, public funds, television and VOD platforms, etc. This year the international presence has been in charge of Le Pacte (France), Need Productions (Brussels), Leitmotiv (Canada), Rayuela Productions (Brussels), Productions Ocho (Canada), La Faena Films (Canada), Telefilm Canada (Canada), Yzanakio (Canada), Screen Brussels (Brussels), Trimafilm (Germany), Manderley (Germany), Norway Film Institute (Norway), Meta Film (Sweden-Denmark), As Cinema (Switzerland), Gaijin (France), TP Cinèphag (France), etc.

It should be noted that among the accredited professionals of this ninth edition there have been televisions and platforms such as TVE, Movistar, Atresmedia, Telecinco Cinema, Telemadrid. Others have done it too national companies como Latido Films, Buendía Studio, Warner Bros Discovery, BTeam Pictures, Freemantle España, Feel Sales o Bendita.
