Frandroid Studio

Located in the heart of Paris, Frandroid has recently acquired a state-of-the-art Leyard VEM1.8 LED solution, installed by the integrator Solutions Audiovisuelles (SAV).

The new LED screen is part of Frandroid's new internet TV studio, created to expand the company's global audience.

Since 2008, the French news platform Frandroid has been dedicated to disseminating information on innovation and supporting its readers throughout the entire life cycle of their purchases of technological products. At the core of the company's DNA is a commitment to providing breaking news on cutting-edge technologies, while ensuring that viewers fully understand these latest technological innovations.

Sylvain Piquois, Key Account Manager at SAV, says: "Given Frandroid's reputation as one of the leading tech news platforms, we were excited to be contacted. The instructions were clear: they were looking for a reputable company to supply them with an LED solution for their new web TV studio in Paris."

In the face of stiff competition, the SAV team invited Frandroid to visit Leyard's demonstration facility and check out the capabilities of Leyard's VEM series of fine-pitch LED displays. "We conducted a thorough test using the camera equipment planned by Frandroid for the new studio. Our extensive experience in TV studios across the EU benefited us and after the demonstration, the Frandroid team was convinced that the display LED VEM1.8 de Leyard it was the perfect solution for them, thanks to its design and attractive price," Piquois continues.

Aligned and seamless display

The Flexible design of the cabinet of the VEM Series It allows for easy formation of three- or four-sided shapes, making it ideal for creative display applications, with its special six-axis alignment features ensuring that the video wall can be perfectly aligned and seamless.

These features proved crucial during the LED display setup in Frandroid's studio. "We had to build the screen at a precise 90-degree angle while ensuring an optimal viewing experience," adds Piquois. "With the full support of the Leyard team, who worked closely with us throughout the process, we achieved a perfect 90-degree display with zero millimeter separation."

"My experience of collaborating with the Leyard and SAV teams has been extremely satisfactory and professional," he says Arnaud Gelineau, creative producer and team leader of Frandroid. "From our first contact with Xavier [Guillermain, France Area Manager at Leyard], I was excited about the presentation of the different technologies in his showroom. Their technical expertise and in-depth explanations played a decisive role in our choice of supplier. This meeting established a climate of trust."

Gelineau adds that after their conversation with Guillermain and based on his recommendation, they contacted SAV, and the experience was "equally remarkable".

"The exchanges were as pleasant as they were constructive, and this happened in an efficient way," he adds, further noting that the roll-out of the project went smoothly, taking into account both the technical constraints and Frandroid's ambitions for the optimal use of the LED wall. "Every decision made for the installation was carefully adjusted to these objectives," he explains.

The Frandroid team closely monitored all stages of the installation phase, and SAV gave a extensive training to ensure proper use of the screen.

"To this day, the regular use of the LED screen is still at the heart of our activities, especially during the live broadcast of our shows on Twitch, in which our three media channels participate," says Gelineau. "To meet our production needs, we connected the display to a fully remote control PC. This approach has automated all operations, simplifying the start-up of the screen and the display of the content corresponding to each program. The objective was to guarantee absolute transparency of use."
