Peter Barber, new CEO and COO of Atomos

Known for having been co-founder and co-owner of Blackmagic Design, Peter Barber begins his career in atoms leveraging his thirty years of experience in production and post-production as director of operations and executive director.

Barber has more than thirty years of production and post-production experience, including three years in Apple Computer, where he was responsible for the deployment of Final Cut Pro and other video solutions in Asia Pacific. As co-founder and co-owner of Blackmagic Design, Peter played a key role in the growth of its business and drove the mergers and acquisitions strategy that saw him lead and negotiate the acquisition of seven companies in a period of eight years.

Barber has stated that he feels “very excited to take on a leadership role in a publicly traded company, with all the additional resources and challenges that entails.” “For much of my working life, I have been designing video workflows, and sharing democratizing tools that empower creatives, something that resonates strongly with a company like Atomos.
