MTA International connects 80 countries live with Quicklink Studio
Quicklink Studio (ST55) has been used by the team of the non-profit satellite television network MTA International to incorporate more than 100 communities from 80 countries in its live coverage of the latest edition of Jalsa Salana UK.
Jalsa Salana UK, the annual convention of the Ahmadiyya Muslim community, is an annual event held in Hampshire, United Kingdom, from which MTA International carries out exclusive live coverage through all its online channels and platforms. With the assistance of more than 35,000 participants In person, this event is watched by millions through MTA International channels with the intention of connecting all Ahmadiyya communities around the world. In the words of Hanif Kahn, program producer at MTA International: “One of MTA International's first goals was to involve as many countries around the world as possible in our coverage of the Jalsa Salana UK 2023. In 2022 we connected 60 communities, by 2023 we wanted to involve more than 100 communities in the proceedings.”
MTA International needed a solution to present up to 100 remote guests in high quality and low latency with different options remote workflow and management. Having used Skype TX for coverage of Jalsa Salana UK 2022, MTA needed a solution that would be able to return a broadcast of the program to the 100 locations, while having the option of connect to all locations on the live show when necessary. Another key requirement was the ability for operators to manage the remote locations and provided talkback directly from the control room.
Connecting 100 guests with Quicklink Studio (ST55)
Using Quicklink Studio (ST55) allowed MTA International to introduce more than 100 communities around the world to its Jalsa Jalana UK productions in high quality with the highest level of remote management through Quicklink Manager. With the remarkable accessibility options available in Quicklink Studio, MTA International producers were able to distribute invitations to communities via SMS, WhatsApp, email or by generating a URL link, and have them join via a web browser on any device, without the need to install apps or software.
With Quicklink Studio (ST55) to connect and manage remote guests, and Quicklink Studio Servers For professional opportunities, twenty-two communities were simultaneously made available to the production team through HD-SDI in the mixer Grass Valley Kahuna in high quality.
