Matrox Video - DSX LE6 100GbE Card - Tarjeta SMPTE ST 2110

The Matrox DSX LE5 and Matrox Video with SMPTE ST 2110 IP environments.

Matrox Video opts for low-density versions of network interface controller cards (NIC) Matrox DSX LE5 D25 LP y DSX LE6 D100, new additions to the company's range of SMPTE ST 2110 cards that support the transition of the broadcast and Pro AV industries to IP workflows. By offering multi-channel video inputs and outputs (I/O) via redes 10/25/100GbE, these new NIC cards allow equipment manufacturers to design “any type of application” based on IP from workflows HD/3G/4K y 8K low-density “at the right price within an SDK.”

The new solutions from Matrox Video, designed as NIC cards ST 2110 commercial (COTS) with video recognition, provide 24/7 interoperability and reliability for highly demanding broadcast environments, while offering the flexibility and scalability expected from IP infrastructures. Like the existing ST 2110 cards in the Matrox Video product portfolio, the new cards incorporate PTP hardware based to provide precision ST 2059-2 of nanoseconds, and offload all ST 2110 packet processing from the CPU. An ultra-low latency (ULL) feature minimize to Input and output latency for HD, 4K and 8K multichannel applications.

Francesco Scartozzi, vice president of sales and business development for Matrox Video's broadcast and media division, calls the company's commitment to the SMPTE ST 2110 “unquestionable.” For example, the new cards: "Our new ST 2110 NICs use the same robust DSX SDK as our popular DSX LE5 and ST 2110's complexity is managed by the SDK, developers manage the video, audio and ancillary data buffers just as they would with an SDI application.

The new cards DSX LE5 D25 LP (Low Profile) basics enable compact 1U, 2U, and 3U COTS systems to support low-density 1080i/1080p/UHD workflows over a 10/25 GbE interface. One card supports four HD/3G or one 4K/UHD reconfigurable I/O, and the other simultaneously supports four HD/3G or one 4K/UHD I/O. On the other hand, the card DSX LE6 D100 PCIex8 Gen4 with dual 100GbE interfaces, designed for high-performance multimedia environments including broadcast and virtual production, supports multi-channel 4K and 8K ST 2110 I/O and easily manages eight 4K/UHD p60/50 I/O with ST 2022-7 protection switching.

A key piece is the SDK Matrox DSX (Win/Linux), which provides the reliability and stability necessary for broadcast and Pro AV operations, thus being able to handle a unified architecture that is common to all Matrox ST 2110 NIC cards, SDI I/O and H.264 codecs. The DSX SDK supports key features (including file read/write, memory management, and handling a range of file formats, codecs, and effects), as well as a prototyping tool to facilitate quick simulation and testing of use cases without writing code.
