Nimrod Ben-Natan, new CEO of Harmonic from June

Patrick Harshman will retire as president and CEO of Harmonic on June 11, 2024, when Nimrod Ben-Natan, current senior vice president and general manager of the broadband business, will take over.

Ben-Natan He joined Harmonic in 1996 as software engineer to design and develop its first-generation video streaming platform and, since 2012, has led the broadband business of Harmonic as senior vice president and general manager. For Harmonic itself, his “visionary leadership” has been “pivotal” in the development and deployment of the company’s Emmy-winning cOSTM virtualized broadband technology.

Patrick Gallagher, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Harmonic, explains why the board chose Ben-Natan as Harashman's successor: "As part of a thoughtful succession planning process, we conducted a thorough evaluation of internal and external candidates with the support of a leading search firm. Nimrod was the most notable: his leadership has been instrumental in the rapid growth of the company's innovative, market-leading virtualized broadband access solutions. He is admired and respected by our employees and customers, and the Board is confident that his strategic vision, experience and business acumen will drive Harmonic's future success.”

Harshman se ha despedido del cargo afirmando que asumirlo ha sido “el privilegio de mi vida”. “Juntos hemos reposicionado estratégicamente a la empresa como líder mundial en soluciones de banda ancha de nueva generación y soluciones de transmisión y distribución de vídeo, ampliando con éxito nuestra base de clientes, nuestra presencia internacional y nuestra cartera de productos. Nimrod es la persona idónea para liderar Harmonic y nuestro talentoso equipo global en su próximo capítulo de innovación y crecimiento”. Por otro lado, Ben-Natan manifiesta estar “lleno de energía y emocionado por asumir el cargo de CEO” y anticipa que la compañera “construirá sobre la sólida base que hemos establecido” para así seguir “revolucionando las redes de banda ancha y el streaming en la nube”.
