AXN for paid DTT with Gol TV starting in May

Mediapro and Sony Entertainment Television sign an agreement for the distribution in pay DTT, together with Gol Tv, of the AXN channel. The new channel will be temporarily available at no additional cost for Gol subscribers.

AXN will join what will be the embryo of the paid DTT platform promoted by Mediapro. Starting next May 1, AXN will be distributed jointly with Gol Tv, occupying the frequency used until now by Sony Entertainment Television (SET) on Veo and will be available to all Gol subscribers.

The cards that subscribers have acquired to be able to watch Gol TV will facilitate access at no additional cost until August 31 to AXN content through DTT.

The paid DTT platform promoted by Mediapro was born in August 2009, with a single channel: Gol Tv. Now, Mediapro intends to expand the content accessible through its platform by making new channels with maximum penetration available to its subscribers.

With this agreement, AXN, now present in cable, satellite and IPTV television systems, expands its penetration capacity in Spanish homes through this new modality. Sony Pictures Television thus reaffirms its commitment to pay television and its commitment to the consolidation and extension of this new television model represented by pay DTT.

AXN is a channel that offers quality content, from national and international series of recognized success to current film premieres. Among the channel's news, viewers will discover recent productions in the coming months such as Human Shield o The Philanthropist, in addition to new deliveries of CSI New York y Trauma o la continuación de la exitosa FlashForward.
