The Málaga 4K Fest is emerging as one of the first competitions in the world dedicated to short films produced and post-produced entirely in 4K.
He Hispasat 4K Fest will be renamed starting next year Málaga 4K Fest. This festival has established itself after its first three editions as one of the great festivals in which they compete short films shot in 4K.
The event will continue to have the satellite operator as the main partner, joining from now on the Malaga Festival, the capital's City Council, Promálaga and the Digital Content Pole.
The organization will be in charge Medina Media Events which will have the collaboration of Atreseries, Fujinon, RTVE, Dolby, Sgo, Ad Hoc and Ultra HD Forum.

"Throughout the first three editions, the number of works presented has increased. Now we have understood it was necessary that this initiative had to have a new projection and a new path in Malaga. From Hispasat we will continue to help, sponsor and support this festival," he stated.
For his part, Juan Antonio Vigar, director of the Malaga Festival, has highlighted that based on the “excellent results” left by the Hisapasat 4K Fest, now “we intend to give it a new boost by growing vigorously in the future.”
“The Malaga Festival is focused on Spanish cinema but throughout the year it expands with other projects with international projection such as this festival,” he added.
