The directors of 'The Infinite Trench', a film selected by Spain for the Oscars, won the award for best short film and best direction.

The short film Mateoren Ama (Mateo's mother), directed by Aitor Arregui and Jose Mari Goenaga, also directors of the Spanish film nominated for the Oscars The Infinite Trench, has been the winner of the Málaga 4K Fest 2020, the first festival of short films recorded and post-produced with 4K technology, organized by Medina Media Events, in collaboration with Malaga Festival.

Matthew's Mother, produced in Spain, has won the main prize of the festival, the Grupo ADM Award for best short film, presented by its general director Gustavo Fuentes. Jose Mari Goenaga was in charge of receiving the award.

The Festival has also recognized the directing work of Aitor Arregi and Jose Mari Goenaga with the Medina Media 4K Award for best director.

The director of the Malaga Festival, Juan Antonio Vigar, highlighted in his speech that “we have all continued fighting to show that we can continue creating culture, that we must continue developing cultural projects.”

For its part, Maria Medina, general director of Medina Media Events, stated that "we have been very happy to see how, despite the circumstances, we have received up to 324 short films from 35 countries."

The Atreseries Award for best short film for television, presented by Luis Leon Luri, programming manager of thematic channels of Atresmedia TV, it was for the short film Pozo directed by Diego Puertas, produced in Spain.

The Prize RTVE for best film school, awarded by Samuel Martin Mateos, director of La 2, was for the short film The First Day, directed by Fernando Mendoza, produced in Argentina.

Michael Zink presents the Award to Ricard Peitx, for A-1606The Prize Dolby/Best Digital to the best sound has been delivered by Elena Ceballos, director of film product marketing for Europe at Dolby Laboratories; and Esther Gomez, CEO of Best Digital. I see, I see, directed by Tania Cattebeke and produced in Paraguay, has been the winner of this award. Your sound director, Dahia Valenzuela, has been in charge of picking it up.

The winner of the Prize UHD Spain for the best photograph has been Ca Nostra, directed by Laia Foguet and produced in Spain. Your director of photography, Toni Vidal, has collected the award.

The most international award, the Prize UHD Alliance for the best UHD short film, awarded by Michael Zink, president of the UHD Alliance (World Ultra High Definition Alliance), has been for A-1606, directed by Ricard Peitx, produced in Spain.
