The finalists for the Málaga 4K Fest have been selected after receiving more than 500 short films from almost 50 nationalities

La entrega de premios del festival de cortometrajes en 4K-UHD tendrá lugar el 8 de noviembre en la capital de la Costa del Sol en el marco de la 4K Summit.

Un comité de expertos de Malaga Festival ha seleccionado los 21 finalistas de Málaga 4K Fest, international short film festival in 4K-Ultra High Definition (UHD) organized by Medina Media Events and whose technical direction has been carried out since this year by Malaga Festival, lo que ha dado un impulso decisivo en la internacionalización de esta iniciativa que en 2015 puso en marcha la empresa española de satélites Hispasat.

Málaga 4K Fest has, among others, the support of companies that have been betting on 4K for years, such as RTVE, Atresmedia, Dolby, Ad Hoc Studios, Fujinon, Sgo, Hispasat, Medina Media 4K and for el Fórum Mundial de la UHD, who sponsor the seven prizes awarded to the winners.

Esta selección se produce tras recibir un total de 517 trabajos, cifra que cuadruplica la de la pasada edición, cuando se presentaron 127; mientras que los países de procedencia de los trabajos han pasado de 17 a 47.

La entrega de premios de Málaga 4K Fest tendrá lugar el 8 de noviembre en la capital de la Costa del Sol, con la presencia de más de 300 invitados y los más importantes directivos de la industria tecnológica y de contenidos del 4K a nivel mundial, que asisten cada año a la 4K Summit and in this way they will pay tribute to young creators who are beginning to work with Ultra High Definition.

The total of short films received this year came from Spain (321 shorts), France (34), Argentina (29), Brazil (19), Mexico, Colombia and South Korea (all three with 11), Iran (8), Chile, USA, India and Italy (with 6), United Kingdom (4), Netherlands, Peru, Czech Republic and Switzerland (3), Germany, China, Egypt, Greece, Nepal, Russia, Sweden and Turkey (2), Belgium, Bosnia Herzegovina, Canada, Cuba, Denmark, United Arab Emirates, Hungary, Lebanon, Malaysia, Morocco, Poland, Serbia, Singapore, Syria, Uruguay, Venezuela and Vietnam (all with 1). Other co-producing countries are Ecuador, Japan, Nicaragua, Qatar and Romania.
